Staying Alive

I heard somebody say that if you’re not failing you’re not trying.

Conquering the fear of failure is a constant and ongoing process for me. I would love to say that I don’t have moments of fear. It would be so easy to say or have people to think that all you have to do is do it and be done with it, but that is so far from the truth!

I can’t speak for anyone else but I face moments of fear, anxiety and intimidation every time I set out to do something outside of the norm for me or when I face adversity or other challenging experiences. For example, writing a weekly blog can be somewhat intimidating. It’s like how much do I have to say and how many different ways can I say it, or will I be able to keep my readers engaged…all of these emotions are real.

The more I study myself and people I realize just how much we all are alike. We all have to start someplace. We can get so sidetracked or distracted by those who “seem” not to have any anxieties. Once we realize that everyone experiences fear, anxiety or overwhelm in their own way we are liberated to flow in our own greatness.

We don’t have to be concerned about being better or different than anyone because we are all originals. We have all been given a download that is uniquely ours. We don’t have to be a carbon copy of anyone, we were created to be an original. This is exactly why we have our own DNA and our own set of fingerprints. When we discover and embrace this, it takes the pressure off.

When we recognize that we are enough just as we are and that everything we will ever need to do life and be great at is ALREADY on the inside of us and that NOBODY can do it the way we can, man oh man, what a day that will be!

Embracing our own uniqueness is a process. Just as the growth of plants, food and other vegetation is contingent upon the soil, climate, environment and nurturing it receives, so it is with us as individuals.

Don’t get weary when it doesn’t go according to plan or look like what you expected; progress is always being made as long as we keep it moving forward. I have said it many times before, we win and learn. Failure, if it doesn’t kill us, is not fatal. We should be constantly growing. Exposure is everything. Being set in the right environments at the right times is essential to our consistent growth.

There are some beliefs that we have adopted that have held us back in life. We must examine our belief systems and determine if theyvbeen profitable or detrimental to us. We must be courageous enough to make the proper adjustments and follow the path forward.

I admonish you to examine your life and ask yourself if you are giving it your all or have you become complacent, distracted or honestly not focusing on the greatness you know that you are capable of.

Are you willing to make an investment in yourself and those in your life and around you to make this world a better place? All it requires is for you to be honest with you and face the giants and boot them out of the way, one at a time.

I would love to tell you that you will only have to slay your giants once, but that’s not the case, you will have to slay and keep slaying, but the beautiful thing is you already know how the story ends, YOU WIN because the mind is the battlefield!! Giants do fall..the bigger they are the harder they fall!! Keep fighting the old fight of faith. Don’t stop swinging!

Prayerfully you read something that will help you to move forward on your journey!

Please share this blog with others, somebody needs to receive this encouraging word!!

Stay in Peace
